Beyond candles:

The wonder of light is and has been of paramount importance in the history of art. The phenomenon of illumination and Light itself circumscribes, in fact, the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end in art. Until the Gothic period we only find light itself: up to that time there were no external light effects. Artificial light (no longer the primordial and essential light of the candle), but that mediated by electricity, is seen by some artists as a fascinating element that refers, per se, to the maelstrom of industrial revolutions and their impact on contemporary societies. In this sense, the works that make up this exhibition project.
